Hi Guys,
My apologies for the late post, but this death was not reported to me; it was posted on Facebook.
George H Penny, former 1st Battalion xx Lancashire Fusiliers, passed away in late November or early December. His funeral was held on the 10th of December at 11 am at Howbridge Crematorium. Our sincere condolences to his dear wife Carole, Family, and all who knew and loved him.

Ps, Following information given by Martin Eckersley
George Penny, his service number was 22741332, he did his national service in Kenya fighting the Mau Mau uprising in late 1952/ 1953. George's battalion was sent to Germany and was based in Iserlohn, where he was made upto a lance corporal. George went from A company to B company. George came out in September 1954, but had joined the TA in Tranmere Road, Liverpool. Hope all this helps you, David. Just a bit more info, George's ashes are being scattered at Westhoughton Masonic Hall in Peel St, Westhoughton, once I find the date this is happening I will let you know
