If a man uses smoothness and charm, he can succeed in making love to a woman. If he cusses her and roughs her up, she will resist him and accuse him of rape.
Same for Trump when he wants to take over Greenland. Trump could have shown Greenland the benefits of merging with the US. He could have shown Greenlanders that the US would protect them from invasion by China or Russia. Greenlanders would have welcomed the US to Greenland.
