Tefnut & Aadrika

While the other cools.

Time was of the essence. Tefnut knew this, but so did Aadrika. Shifting their bodies on the beach, both of them nodded before plunging into the cool sea. Their legs kicked against the water, guiding them towards the Peak. As they crested there, neither mare stopped as they picked up into flowing canters across the island. With both being young, they had fun and played while also heading towards Salem.

Rising from the sea for a second time, Tefnut and Aadrika shook out their red coats. Snorting, one sister looked at the other before perking their ears. The Desert smelled different, which was a nice change for Tefnut. Drawing in a lungful of the new smell, the ex-Dunes mare opened her lips and sent out a call. Her voice was steady, which was surprising for a young and inexperienced territory leader.

As her call died off, Tefnut felt Aadrika stand beside her. They were a team. Everything they did now they did together. From territory care to potential territory gains, they moved as one. So, waiting after her call, Tefnut let her younger sister lean against her as support before stepping apart when the new leader drew close.

“We got this.”
“I know we do.”
