Not that I care personally about this, but as a practice, having different allowed minimums sucks.

Whai? Because with today's small pools, one of your best bets is to snag the entire pool with a minimum bet. Which might be a penny if allowed. So people facing a $2 tri minimum would have to pass on edge cases, while the penny ante guys can cover them all.

Obviously I'm exaggerating this, but the principle is clear. The only justification might be to encourage live attendance. But even that is debatable. All off-site betting should be on an equal footing.
