Memories Can Be So Fleeting

Teagan had watched Lucifer change, little by little she had offered him affection, her love and trust in him, slowly she see little bits reflected back at her, mainly in his action and that was enough for her, she didn’t need romantic gestures and fancy words, his actions spoke louder than any words he could give her.

She watched as he interacted with their son. She was loving being a mother, she’d heard others say it was a magical experience, of course she couldn’t remember where she had heard it, but that hardly mattered.
She chuckled as she watched the beast of a stallion be so gentle with little Ash, the colt was young still but he was already bold and fearless, two traits they would need to make sure didn’t get him into trouble in the future. It was clear Ash already had worked out he needed to be more gentle when playing with his mother, however this was obviously something he didn’t need to worry about when playing with his father, something Ash was demonstrating now by trying to climb the black stallion.

The young spotted colt was ecstatic when his father agreed to play. He knew he had to be gentler with his mother, she wasn’t much keen on the rough and tumble games but she still tried. His eyes twinkling with mischief as he looked at his father, he was huge! Something Ash loved as he squealed playfully at his father nip - if you could call it a nip, he hadn’t felt teeth at all as he was gentle with his young son. Something Ash knew he himself did not need to reciprocate.

With playful ire the young colt span on his haunches, snapping his teeth playfully before jumping forward, a move that saw him slam into his father’s shoulder. Honestly he would’ve had better luck moving stone boulders. Instead of making the stallion move, instead the colt effectively just bounced off the immovable object that was his father, only just managing to stagger his legs to stay upright.

However it didn’t deter him from once more issuing a mock fight with his father, arching his neck just before his front limb struck the sand, the colts laughter ringing out in the small area.
