Boss's Decree

For every brother you bring into the Lagoon, you may have a trinket of your own. I will not touch, barter, trade, or do anything with them. For every foal you create that lives here in the lagoon, you must win a battle or bring in a new brother.

If neither of these criteria are met, come them turning two and remaining in the lagoon, they are mine to do with as I see fit.

The Offspring

Briseis (Carthage x Clio)
Flynnrir (Garmr x Druna)
Gersemi (Garmr x Dior)
Gothic (Garmr x Dior)
Phaethon (Acid x Sabah)
Sadie (Abraxas x Mercy)

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Clio
from throwing fuel to the fire
of that Greco-Roman dream

Clio stared, eyes slightly narrowed, as Tattoo continued to speak. "You think I would come to think of this as a home, when I have the lush jungles of Atlantis waiting for me?" She felt a laugh rising in her throat - it was preposterous to her, the very suggestion that she would become accustomed to living here. Carthage called her his pearl, and that was what she would remain, no matter how many layers of the marsh mud of the Lagoon stained her pale hide.

Perhaps, if her young daughter had not been at her side, Clio would have proven more fiery, but her main concern was not herself, so instead of pushing back, she relented. The white mare would do whatever she had to, in order to keep the filly safe.

"Thank you." The words were a little stiff, like she’d forced them through her teeth, but the indignation in her posture had been replaced with apprehension instead - concern for Briseis mingling with nervousness that came from being in an unknown place, with an unknown number of stallions roaming the area.

Initially, she balked at the idea of entering the natural shelter when it was clear that Tattoo intended to enter in behind her. But after a brief hesitation, Clio steeled herself at having her space invaded in such a way, claimed, like it didn't even belong to her. Better that, than risk angering the black and white stallion, and having him drive her and her filly off. Forcing her body to relax, she nudged gently at her daughter. "In you go, Briseis. This is where we will be staying for a while, I’ll be right behind you."

And no sooner as Briseis heeded her, Clio moved to follow the girl in, fighting the urge to lash out at Tattoo if he moved into the space behind her.
