Tefnut
And the gasoline of my soul will come alive.
Exploration had given Tefnut one thing. Wonder.
As the emotion coursed through her red body, Tefnut could only smile. Her heart raced in her breast as she ran up a mountain. She hadn't fully learned the borders yet, but once she reached one she slowed. Her body turned around, facing the open expanse of her territory. “Father would love this.” She spoke to the open air, treating it like a friend. After that night with Rethe, the red dun had found something settle in her chest but also something unease. She was walking that line with Rethe like a newborn foal. Her legs were instead and she couldn't quite figure out how to bend her body to stay on it. She was trying, but it was difficult.
Scanning over the summer warmed Bay, the blue eyed daughter of Lucifer beamed. Her frame was warm from the run, but there was more to it than just that. Wriggling her tail much like a foal would, Tefnut struggled to hold in her excitement. The urge to run, to play, and to make a day of fun was broiling so hard under her skin she could almost feel it like an embrace. That was part of why she had come up here. It took her away from the others, making her less of a chaotic mess around them. It gave her space, to play and to be humored by her own young imagination. It gave her everything, but it also removed one thing she was finding important.
Humming under her breath, Tefnut finally stood still. Looking over her home, she noticed little things. She could see the red of Aadrika on the beach. The calm sister Tefnut had grown close to had her heart easing its racing tempo. Farther out, she could see the blue roan body of Apex. He had decided to change his mind on being sub-lead. Tefnut still didn't fully understand it, but in time she might learn. Scanning even more, Tefnut searched for Rethe. She searched and searched, but it all paused when she heard someone behind her. Flicking one ear back, Tefnut angled her head and rested one blue eye on them with a sparkle of an emotion she hadn't expressed much yet.
