Boss's Decree

For every brother you bring into the Lagoon, you may have a trinket of your own. I will not touch, barter, trade, or do anything with them. For every foal you create that lives here in the lagoon, you must win a battle or bring in a new brother.

If neither of these criteria are met, come them turning two and remaining in the lagoon, they are mine to do with as I see fit.

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Painted Demon

Tattoo glanced at the youngster, ignoring the pitiful whines of the dying cat, raising a brow at her surprise that he’d saved her. Huffing he response to her no I was planning on watching the cat try to eat you he dead pans, shaking his head. He might be cruel and sadistic in his own way but he wasn’t that much of a monster. He’s somewhat perplexed by her concern over him, glancing at the scratches the cat had given him, most were so shallow wouldn’t even scar, there was only a couple that were deeper gashes where the cat had hooked a claw in, still not life threatening though so he wasn’t concerned. However he supposed the yearling had never really seen the true fighting that could go on in the lagoon, ones that could leave the loser permanently damaged or even dead. No, he supposed to the filly the whole thing was quite traumatic, what with her own wounds as well.

Calm yourself little one, these are little more than a scratch for me he said, attempting to calm his own voice and body, he wasn’t use to trying to calm another but he could see the young girl was panicked. He still remembered her as the tiny filly when she had had first got here. He’s fought for the mare, unaware she had a young child, not that it would have made a difference to him but seeing the young innocent thing had sparked something protective in his cold dead heart. It was an awful feeling.

Dark eyes tracked across her body, taking in any wounds she had on her from the cat. He frown at her ready to leave the cat to die in misery, however looking back to her he figured she’d had enough of a traumatic day as you wish he before turning back to the dying animal, rearing low he slammed his hooves down with well placed precision, crushing the creatures skull, killing it instantly. It might look ruthless but it was the easiest way to get a quick death. After which he used his nose to nudge the carcass into the nearest swamp pit, its bones would joint those of other poor souls who died here, large and small.

Turning back he studied the filly, honestly he didn’t know what to do with a emotional youngster. He’d never really taken the time to give a damn. Did that mean he cared for this yearling… he didn’t have a clue and didn’t dwell on it. The sea water would be best to rinse their wounds and help starve off infection. He paused at her touch, side eyeing her because mare didn’t normally do this, at least not to him. He prefer it that way and so feeling flustered at such an alien touch he proceeded to move off in the direction of the stream like structure where the sea invaded the Lagoon. All whilst trying to soften his barked command Follow me he said, trying to gentle his gruff voice.

It was only a short walk to the area in question, glancing at the youngster he nodded his head towards the water expectantly, only walking into the surf once she had. Grinding his teeth at the sting the salt water caused, it was true that sometimes the treatment was more painful that the ailment as he hadn’t felt any of his wounds until now.
Glancing at the yearling he couldn’t explain the protective feeling he had over her, he’d never had it before, not one for sentimental emotions or whatever this feeling was he finally asked are you ok?
