I'll bite........
When can I go to see a performance?
Yes tickets are available on the jam arena website, Friday nights. But we are in agreement here, I don't understand not letting people in all matches. perhaps Miami Casino views it as competition for their gambling dollar. I doubt thats it but who knows. If there isn't an objection from Miami casino then I don't get why all matches aren't open.
Are the the owners making money ? If not, what
is the point?
Perhaps the owners have deep pockets and have fell in love with the game, perhaps they see a future return of their investment because they believe it will expand and grow. As a fan this doesn't matter to me at all. Who watches something they love and says "hell this doesn't make any sense it isn't making money". It could be a tax write off for all I care the guy is helping keep the sport we love alive and players employed.
Who are the owners?
Why would I care.
What are the players salaries?
Pretty decent for the amount they are required to play.
What performances are for fun and which ones
can be wagered on? How can you wager?
You can wager on all of them. hard rock bet in Florida among many, many other sites. This has been stated plenty of times and discussed.
What is the schedule? Can/do the players work other
jobs with the schedule.
Its listed on the website and yes they can and they do.
What is the website ? How is it streamed?
Youtube and just google world jai alai league, again they have a pretty vested social media presence. If you are paying attention to jai alai you would easily know these answers.
What are the handle amounts ?
Tiger posts them when they become available for the quinellas and I think Laca and others have posted the amounts wagered on battle court. Its not a handle when it comes to battle court. Its bets taken by individual sportsbooks like any other sport. Which by the way drastically improves the sports visability. People see they can bet on jai alai on these sportsbooks and may take the time to check it out and become a fan.
And yes I would like them to have jai-alai jobs
I said it to bad it’s not bigger like the 70’s 80’s - with
all the talent they have.
How much does a cesta costs theses days- do
the players get reimbursed for the cesta cost?
Fair question that I do not know. As a fan thats something PLAYERS are concerned with, not fans.
Why did three glass wall jai-alai move to glass back wall Miami?
To keep the unique aspect of battle court. If not it would just be another jai alai game, which has failed over and over again in the states. Its a different business model with a different vision. If you watched the game since it moved from MC to Miami jai alai, its not too far off from traditional jai alai. Which the owners may or may not be happy with.
What happened to Kings Court rubber ball jai-alai.
Horrendous management, not enough long term investment, poor business plan and built just to have poker rights. Replies:
