Thanks for your response and the spell check. If you wish to drink the Kool-Aid be my guest but the level of play has gone down this year. Ohlaran is not a world class player. Repetitive bad serves from a front courter in singles are simply unacceptable and not defensible. Sorry, but he continues to choke on game point. Tonight was yet another example, several times in fact. The win percentage that you cite, against this roster, is good not great.
I know many people here would prefer to speak about ten cent beer night at Ocala in the 1970’s and whether the restaurant at Palm Beach was any good. Benny himself is on record saying that he prefers questions about his former playing partners than to hear criticism about his players. Again, I’m grateful for legitimate jai alai and the effort that most of the players give but again they’re not tarring a roof for 8 hours in the blazing sun 6 days a week.
