Re(1): Dania’s Product 2025-26

The product and the effort from the players is not the problem. In fact, there is no real “problem” to speak of. These players play with a lot of effort. Look how pissed Olharan gets when he misses a ball, even a ball that is nearly impossible to catch..even a ball he is not suppose to catch! Look how Ekhi is fuming mad if he tips a tough ball on a show tiebreaker point. Granted, sometimes Ehki does phone it in with those horrible underhand carom attempts that are instant losers off the court or too low. But he is pretty consistent.

If there is one player with a lazy style, for sure, it’s Delpeuch. But it s not so much laziness as it is the fact he simply has poor movement, I guess it’s just how he is. He can’t jump up either. It’s more his weakness being exposed than anything else.

But it’s players like Tambour, Argoitia, Gorka, Johan, and others who give there all and are generally extremely consistent every day, that are the standouts, that really make the game look good. I have seen them look off.

On the flip side, Oierdi is impossible to call, but he puts forth exceptional effort, usually, and he was playing great the first few weeks. Lately hes fallen off. As far as Celaya, it seem fans thing he is so good, but you got it wrong, Olharan is not a joker; the two biggest chokers on game point are Celaya who constantly throws kills into the pad, or Bixente, who can’t serve on game point. Yes, Garcia has major, major serving issues, to the point you can predict the under and over serves. And they are major under and overs. Sometimes by 10 feet or more. It’s frustrating for all of us wagering, at some point.

Overall, we all know what we are getting into. I’ve enjoyed the season so far, and it’s kept me very entertained at home wagering and wining the most PIK 3 bets for the while pool, that I can ever recall. I’ve also lost a ton on the season. That is jai alai, and wagering, in general.

I’m glad there will be 2027 jai alai, and while I’ve never met Benny, he seems to really care and be very nonsensical about things, whether in his posts, or his you’re chat conversations with Dave Lamont on YouTube. Thank goodness we have jai alai at Dania, and imoook forward to supporting the remaining weeks and next year as well.
