Add some fire;

Tefnut
And the gasoline of my soul will come alive.

Rethe spoke.
Tefnut did not.

As the other woman let her words flow in a way that had the dun woman's full attention, she listened. Her ears slightly quivered with how strong she held them perked, but she never let them fall. Her soft blue eyes sparkled at the prospect of a journey. It added to the drum of her heart and the flow of her blood. In all the ways Tefnut could describe being alive, this idea that slowly turned into a plan was the epitome of how she would tell someone what truly being there was like.

When Rethe turned after making up her mind, Tefnut moved her hooves. Following at a close distance, the red based woman let her eyes wander. In every view she had of where they were going, Rethe’s back and haunches were in view. It wouldn't be far-fetched to say Tefnut was checking out Rethe’s frame, but she wouldn't ever admit to it. She certainly did like the view from where she followed, but not even her father would get the truth from her lips until something changed in their friendship.

As they continued on and the silence embraced her, Tefnut couldn't hide the smile that began to curl along her lips. Her hooves thumped a steady tune as well. The beat matched her heart in the song, but the hum that followed a while later built a symphony she couldn't ever fully escape now that she heard it. Listening to Rethe even longer later, Tefnut tilted her head until her world seemed to shift from where it stood. Below her and Rethe, Tefnut could see three of the four territories on this island. Her mind turned blank for the longest time once the view fully hit her. It was gorgeous, but no words she could ever utter would put any form of color to the painting of life before her.

Turning and listening once again, Tefnut watched Rethe with pure interest. Her long red tail slowly flicked before she dipped her head slowly. Chewing on the words that were spoke when Rethe fell silent, the Mustang woman pondered on what she would manage to say. It took her some time to find something, but when she did finally speak, the words weren't entirely of a younger mare trying to find the right footing.

“Your blood is the pulse to this island.” As the new leader of the Bay, Tefnut couldn't ever hold the ties that Rethe held. However, she might be able to change that in the future? “I have no blood tied to any of the islands.” Tefnut added, her smile still bright even though she shrugged to try and play off the emotions she was hiding. “Everything here is something you've known since you were small. I came and tried to forcefully change that.” Tilting her head to the side, she thought again before fully turning her head and looking out over the Bay.

“I would like to make this my home… I just don't fully understand how.” In her blood, Tefnut had a wanderers heart. Lucifer had taught her as much as he could, but unlike the man that had raised her, Tefnut wasn't a king or a queen. She was a budding vagabond. If it wasn't for Rethe, Caine, and Aadrika… Tefnut would grow to be similar to the latest years of her birth creator.
