Boss's Decree

For every brother you bring into the Lagoon, you may have a trinket of your own. I will not touch, barter, trade, or do anything with them. For every foal you create that lives here in the lagoon, you must win a battle or bring in a new brother.

If neither of these criteria are met, come them turning two and remaining in the lagoon, they are mine to do with as I see fit.

The Offspring

Briseis (Carthage x Clio)
Flynnrir (Garmr x Druna)
Gersemi (Garmr x Dior)
Gothic (Garmr x Dior)
Phaethon (Acid x Sabah)
Sadie (Abraxas x Mercy)

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

it’s getting darker

Nightmares are dreams too

Their interaction is like whiplash. Where he had appeared after so long, demanding the only kind of affection he knew. Claiming how he burned for her. How he hungered for her. Covering her entirety in his scent, washing his tongue with her taste and filling his lungs with her perfume. Ainaz was right to question it. To wonder what had changed. Because as she stands several steps away from him, trembling in fear from his snapped teeth yet eyes blazing with rightful fury, Garmr finds he can barely keep hold of his anger. In his entire life, he had never felt it so extinguished as it was now. He yearns for her touch all over again. To feel the wraith of her teeth upon his flesh if only he can drape his neck across her back and pull her tight against his chest. It is all Garmr can to do hide it behind his mask of indifference.

“I’ve grown bored of you.” He spits. The lie upon his tongue rancid. “I thought that if I sought you again, it might be different. But it is not.” Garmr says, trying to make excuses for his approach. “You’re worthless to me. And worthless things can no longer be valued as trinkets.” The draft has never failed at twisting words, or even telling full lies. But somehow, they barely make it past his teeth and the pain that had begun to ache in his chest grew with each word he spoke. “I do not want you anymore.”

He narrows his eyes, forcing the harsh expression on his face to hide what she might really see there. Aside from to watch her initial reaction, Garmr cannot stay. He turns and he leaves Ainaz behind. No matter what she says or how she sounds, he knows he cannot remain there, else everything he had just done would be for nothing. Only when the stallion knows for certain that he is alone does he stop.

Garmr lets his massive head hang to his knees and his breaths come in ragged gasps as if he is run longer than his body could withstand. Sweat begins to lather along his neck and flanks, before soaking his entire body that begins to tremble uncontrollably. The pain in his chest came with each slamming beat. A pain so excruciating it was all he could do not to scream out in the pure agony. The brute didn’t understand. How could the departure of one individual do this to him? It was not as if she died, he had purposefully sent her away. It wasn’t as if he even loved her, right?

But Garmr wasn’t about to ask anyone what he was now experiencing for the first time in his life. He would take the grief, the heart ache and the pure anxiety attack until he was too exhausted to feel it anymore and bottle up what was left of it to move on. He just had to survive it first.
