It's great to have a few months of Dania, plus Magic City.
Promotions cost money, and while MC's owner was willing to lose money years to start, most owners will not.
I lived in Ct in its heydey; Milford always spent much more on promos than Bridgeport or Hartford, but its attendance and handle quickly dwarfed both, which allowed it to do it.
I recognize the putrid handles at both are as good as it will get. The heydey of jai alai has long since passed, in terms of crowd size and handle. Btw, same holds for horse tracks. Same held for dog racing.
Casinos are where in person betting is still big in some places. Not para mutuels.
