Happy Birthday, davisti (Thursday)
Re(4): Dania reflections

I disagree with Bada-Bing and tobyonekanobi. It's not as if Dania has an unlimited supply of time and money. Given the inherent limitations, Benny is killing it.

And I think that Stu has pointed out many times that those promos were not cost effective, anyway.

Also disagree with MJAALWAYS when he says:

I recognize the putrid handles at both are as good as it will get. The heydey of jai alai has long since passed

We can believe that, but we don't actually know it. What we actually know is that jai-alai made a lot of bad moves. For one thing, it didn't really leverage the power of the internet. Or, for a newcomer, any zero to sixty jump-start videos or articles out there?

Here's chess analogy. To a non-player, it's just a bunch of random pieces. No meaning. But for a grandmaster, he can see a ton of ideas at a glance. And has a rich, historical knowledge base for context.

Just look at the Txanika assessment from Haitian Gary. How about helping people get to anywhere near that level of paying attention?

So IMO, your idea about social media promotion is the way forward. With the AI avatar tech that is commonly available, each game or match could have some high level pregame discussion. Agree or disagree, it would stimulate mental engagement. Show you what to look for.

Just imagine, with the AI tech today, we could clone Benny or Stu and Andrew, and have 'them' providing the content. Or, leave them out of it and find a new personality. Either way, that's a handful of quantum leaps from yesteryears' tip sheets. Worth trying, IMO.
