Turning her head slowly, Tefnut let her eyes search a bit farther along the territory line before she stilled. Somewhere behind her, Tefnut knew someone stood. That uneasy feeling of eyes on her skin had the red mare wanting to twitch, but she did not allow herself to do that. Instead, she stood still but acted like she was doing her job when she heard a feminine voice. It made her head turn to face the direction the call came. As her blue eyes looked over at the new horse, Tefnut held a straight face even though her brows wanted to furrow. Who was this and why were they here? That question ran circles in her mind but never one left her lips.

Moving forward, Tefnut turned around and walked towards the new mare. Her stocky build was sturdy and sure with every step, even if deep down she wasn't so sure. It took a lot of self control, but it worked as she cut the distance between them with her calm strides. Once she was close enough to get a full read on this mare, Tefnut inhaled the scent of the Inlet. It made her even more curious, but she did not allow that to show on her face other than the slight rise of her brow. Skepticism was what she really felt, but she could not entirely put to words everything that churned in her gut.

“May I help you with something?” Tefnut’s voice was firm, showing no room for error on either of their parts. She was not exactly impressed having someone here right now, but there was very little she could do. Instead, she was forced to stand there steady and hope nothing bad followed this mare. Just because she was from the Inlet did not mean she was safe. Tefnut had heard enough horror stories from her father to know that even the most pretty and soft packages could be a bomb ready to detonate.
