This was their first time away from home. It may have been scary if they didn't have each other to journey with. The hardest struggle might be just leaving their father's side knowing that he was now alone. Mother had never returned and they could no longer remember what she looked like. The only reason they had an idea was because they had asked their father so many times. Not that they would truly know if she was standing right in front of them.
"Come sister I know just where to go first." Athena leads her taller twin to the commons knowing it would be the place they might find their next home. Though she did have a little worry that the Lagoon may show up she was confident they could defend their selves. They had a pack together; one they would hold each other to for as long as they were together.
The area was quiet as they make their way out into the open. The first pair of horses they spy were the two mares standing towards the middle. Athena doesn't miss a beat guiding her twin sister towards them. "I assume you are waiting for the same thing we are?" Athena asks once they were within talking distance. A smile is on her golden face as her sister peeks around her sister to see the two mares. |
