Bottom line is there are hard honest workers and loads everywhere. Are there single role medics that duck carrying? Yes. Are there single role medics that will not let you carry their patient? Yes.
Are there fire side people who do as little as they need to get by? Yes. Are there fire side people who don’t give up their tools and clean toilets? Yes. Treat each individual as an individual. Don’t group people and you’ll be happier. Oh, and just because you have a busy company’s number on your helmet shield it doesn’t make YOU a good firefighter. I floated for years and seen it all. Again look at individuals as individuals.
