Republicans have killed the post-WWII international order, and the Civil Rights era of the United States. These deaths were projects decades in the making, but we are having to live through them now, all at once, very quickly. What fills those voids isn't fixed, and we have agency. You are also allowed to have what can only accurately be called grief for it. Many of us had family die for one or both of those things.
