VALE: GEOFFERY EARL UNICOMB, O16946, PILOT .... IP: 58.104.160.228 Posted on 12/5/2026 at 07:46:37 PM by Lance Haslewood
It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of Geoffery Earl Unicomb, 016946 at 2230 hrs, 11 May 2026. Geoff had been suffering with cholangiocarcinoma, which is cancer of the bile duct. The cancer was aggressive and had spread. He passed at the Caboolture Hospital.
Geoff joined the RAAF in 1961 and was a member of No 15 Apprentice Intake (Beavers) graduating as an electrician. In 1967, he completed No 61 Pilot Course and went on to fly the C-130E Hercules with 37 Squadron.
Geoff was an all-round great guy, happy, full of life, quick-witted and with the uncanny ability to mimic people, particularly those he didn't like.
Geoff will be forever missed, and equally, fondly remembered.
RIP Geoff. Commiserations and heartfelt condolences to family, friends, and Bowser, Geoff's beloved Beagle.
