Aadrika offered him a gentle smile before offering to escort him to her sister, a mare called Tefnut. It was a similar situation that he himself had been in before, first under Fell and then Fell's son Emhyr. The grullo had been very lucky to be able to rely on his family offering him a space to call his own. It was good to know that the Bay continued to call families to its shores that truly looked after their own.
Canis made to follow her and nodded along as Aadrika elaborated a little more on the nature of her sibling. The usage of 'her father' rather than 'our father' informed the dappled male that the two females were in fact half-siblings, as he and Fell were. He tried not to think about the largely mute black stallion. Not knowing exactly what happened to his brother or where he'd gone still bothered him greatly. However, with no scent trail or information to go on, there had been little he could do but wait for the black to return.
As they approached a red-hued figure, the dun female who had guided him made an off-hand comment about her sister and biting. Mismatched ears of dark grullo and white twisted back a few scant degrees. He wondered if this was just a stroke of good-natured humor or if he did need to worry about what the her sister might do. On his toes, Canis offered a short, humored sounding snort to Aadrika. A polite expression properly affixed, the dappled male turned his focus to the red mare and dipped his head to greet this, the new claimer of the Bay.
