Lucifer
And enter the game he creates.
Having taken care of the things that needed to be handled, Lucifer looks over his herd with a calculating eye. He was searching for one specific body, but the farther he looked and the longer he stood there, the more clear it became that his Pet was nowhere in sight. Narrowing his crimson gaze, the dark hearted stallion shifted on his hooves and turned away from the herd he had. It was small and mostly his children, but he still had one.
Shaking out his large frame, the mammoth of a brute slowly begins to move across his territory. He knew Teagan was close to her labor, but he had not realized she was that close. That was why, the farther he got from the herd and closer to the general direction of her, the scent of birth had his ears perking forward. Ever since Lucifer had met Teagan, she had given him a child every spring. He could not help the way his heart warmed at the thought of another life, but the monster inside of him grew a bit more… unsated with every child the demon brought into the world.
Pressing onwards, Lucifer followed the scent until he got close enough to vaguely see Teagan’s frame. Tilting his head slightly, the male looked over what he could see. After a thorough look, he gave a soft whicker and moved forward on slow and steady hooves. He wanted her to know he was coming, that he was going to be there. He might not have been there for the birth, just like most stallions, but he sought her out. He was not ready to let her find him after a child, not yet. It had been three times now in his life he had missed his children until they were older. First Rieva, due to circumstances. Then Chimney, with reasons he did not still fully trust. Lastly, it was Witche leaving their child in the paws of Nyimara. It was different with Teagan… and he was entirely grateful.
Stopping once a length away, the black beast lowered his head and gave a breathy sound from his lips. His bright eyes scanned the mare and foal, taking in everything he could about them. This babe was smaller than Ash had been, which Lucifer was not entirely against. The size of this colt made him remember Beleth vividly. Smiling at the memory of his less than tactful buckskin child, Lucifer hummed slightly. With a deep breath though, he took another step forward, silently questioning if Teagan would let him closer.
