Let me be your rain; (Katianna)

Tefnut
So I can quench your thirst.

I AM Tefnut.

Flicking red ears around quickly, a body that was well muscled stood stock still. Eyes of a soft blue slowly blinked, not wanting to take their eyes off of whatever could be in front of them. At first there had been nothing but the normal sounds of morning. It had been a nice walk honestly. That was, until right now. The world had suddenly plummeted into pure silence. It had the hackles on the back of her neck raising, if she were wolf that is. RIght now, Tefnut looked like a statue, trying to pinpoint what had made the Bay fall this quiet. She did not understand it, but she had to figure it out before she became somethings snack.

Flicking her right ear a bit farther back, she suddenly felt her legs get cold. Behind her, the ground gave a soft thud as a large foot of some sort hit it. Her body bristled at the sound even though her blood turned to ice. Slowly turning her head, Tefnut rolled one eye back, taking in what was behind her. It was a good thing she had control for the most part, considering what was behind her had a long tail, a tawny coat, and eyes that would glow red under the light. Watching it hunch lower now, Tefnut barely managed to hold in her terrified cough before her hooves moved the moment the creature pushed off the ground, claws outstretched.

Running through the forested area of the Bay, Tefnut was breathing heavily. Her skin dribbled blood in areas where the claws had managed to find purchase. Luckily nothing had grabbed ahold of her neck, but lord she had been close to a cat snack. Now though, she managed to flee after a bucking session that had a stone bruise building up under a hind hoof. It would probably abscess, but the mare did not care. Shaking her head slightly as she ran, her ears tucked tight to her head as her body grew coated in a thick sheen of sweat. Her legs hurt, her haunches ached. Breathing through a throat that was pure agony, Tefnut managed to cross the largest section of her home before stumbling to a stop.

As her body bounced with her stop, the red dun lead panted out breaths with her head hanging between her legs. Muscles quivered under her skin as her sides heaved. Stumbling a few aching steps forward, Tefnut felt the water of the ocean on her ankles before the first wave touched her muzzle. Looking down at her warped reflection, the young woman closed her eyes before stepping out farther, letting the cold ocean water work its way up until she stood knee deep in its cold depths.
