Apparently during Covid, one of the teams experimented with ground effect downforce using the side car. Over the years they had pretty much perfected it, which gave them a ton more speed. Only problem is there are bumps on the TT that are pretty much a jump, once the ground effect disconnects, you can very easily turn into a sail. That’s what caused the major crash this year and forced them to cancel the class. Next year they expect to make significant changes (probably ban using the sidecar in ground effect) to make it safer. People will always try and go faster. Replies:
