Spoilers.
The 1st set was a slaughter. Oyhenard was solid and not missing much and Argoitia was missing a lot. But to be fair, both Bixente and Oyhenard were putting it right on the wall and/or over Argoitia's head. Txanika's serving was not good. Bixente tried one failed outside placement and then stuck to the inside for the rest of the set, where he found a lot more success with conservative play.
The 2nd set was pretty crazy. Argoitia got his catching going and Txanika started picking up his offense. Bixente had Txanika dead to rights 3 times but threw weak shots (puffballs) right to him. It was 7-3 and it looked like the set was going to be over quick. But then Oyhenard just refused to quit, making some great catches and saves. Then Bixente found some offensive form with a good inside placement, a beautiful Pica and finally his first successful 2-wall. Txanika was not about to quit either and his naturally aggressive play started to accelerate towards the home stretch. Bixente contained some of it with his great speed and reflexes. But at 13-13 disaster struck! Argoitia twisted his ankle and could not continue. If that had not happened, who knows who would have won?
