Colorado Rockies hockey

The baseball team has the name now, but the expansion Kansas City Scouts (1976) moved to Denver a couple of years later and became the (original) Colorado Rockies. Team didn't make it though and moved to New Jersey and became the Devils by the early 80s.

The Avalanche were a new team in Denver right when the Wings rivalry started in the mid 90s. They were the old Quebec Nordiques.
