Frozen’s Pony Dex
For it was lovely writing with you.
The words start, but with them comes a heavy heart. The characters do not realize the heart in which they can all feel is not actually there, but they know it's not right. Their farewells grow into sob fests and much more, but it's not the worst one. Instead, the tears that drop across the page as the writer gets her fingers on the keyboard is the worst. She loves them, but something is missing from many of these characters. She grew distant from them, even if she cherishes every single one. She might lose the majority, but at times… that's the best answer anyone can have for what's happening under her fingers as she sits at her kitchen table, drinking her bottle of water after a long day at work. For the first time in Frozen’s writing career, she finds herself almost regretting this decision she can no longer step away from.
Looking around, Lucifer heaves a breath before giving a call. His neigh is soon followed by his sister. As Baba Yaga and Lucifer almost harmonize, Bubbles follows suit. Not long after her, the land fills with voices of the many. It would not be a surprise if the islands all could hear it and realize what had just happened. However, when the call ends, Lucifer steps forward before nodding towards the sea. “Out there a few hours swim, you will find other islands. They are smaller, but they will be closer to the mainland. You all can make it, just stay close.”
Turning her head, Bubbles watches Lucifer before her shoulders sag and her head lowers. Closing her eyes, the buckskin mare avoids looking at anyone as the sound of bodies hits the ocean. She could not handle it, but now that it was happening, her heart broke. She would not miss many of them, but they all had families. That's why, when she heard sobs, she looked up to watch Tefnut shake on her legs before stumbling to the ground. Tilting her head, Bubbles turned slowly to look at the sea, seeing the white capped body of Aadrika already swimming away. Holding in a choking sound, Bubbles looked away before she started crying herself.
“No!” A voice broke, watching as bodies left. He had been alone, so, so alone. It hurt him, watching as everyone started swimming away. What had once been a large group was quickly dwindling. Turning his head, Alo looked around, searching for anyone he knew. He had watched Aadrika swim away, which made this hurt worse. Shivering, he searched the bodies before he saw Tefnut as she fell down. Shaking his head quickly, the last child of Nahawi moved with a purpose. Lowering his tear stained face once close enough, the red dun yearling nudged his half sister. “C’mon Tef. We can't break.” His voice, even though he tried to be strong, cracked as he finally just let it be. Lowering beside her, he hid his face where her neck and shoulder met.
When the bodies faded though, after hours, Lucifer stood the strongest of everyone. His own heart was breaking in his chest, but he hid it. At his side, Baba Yaga kept her shoulder touching his as her head lifted to look at her brother. “It’s time.” She whispered, nodding towards the sea. “I can't though, sister.” His voice broke finally, showing that bit of emotion he was currently boiling over with. “We have to pick up the pieces.” He whispered, knowing now it was just him and Yaga. However, he turned, looking at Bubbles who slowly stepped forward. “I can pick up the pieces of Nahawi’s line. I knew him.” Her voice was quiet before she headed off, picking up those she knew were related to the man.
“I can handle Fell and Rim’s line.” Yaga murmured before she too left. Finally, standing on his own hooves, Lucifer looked around. Searching the vast area, he realized one simple fact. He had… no one. He knew Mazikeen had his daughter, but now that he looked at the very few here, his family was… gone. Lowering his head, Lucifer looked at the grass at his feat before slowly turning to face Salem. “One day, maybe.” He whispered to the island, his tail lashing before he moved over to Tefnut and her brother, giving the younger woman the support she needed.
This is the end of this thread… but the characters? They might not be as gone as we all thought. For now, we will see a handful of the giant group who were congregated here. Lets see just what chaos we can create.
Gotta Catch Them All... Right?
