The pale mare blinked at his quick one word answer oh.. She internally cursed herself for the rather deer in headlights reply. Taking a breath she allowed her body to relax, glad he didn’t appear to want her to leave. She had come to like it here and she enjoyed his company, which was an odd feeling for her, she never really attached herself to people or places but he was different.
She gave him a half smile, blue eyes returning to his but the steel was gone I don’t want to leave either she paused before continuing, finding herself feeling awkward I like it here and I like the company she felt a bit flustered at foolish with the last part. In truth, she liked Ashitaka, he did poke at her dominance or demand her history and they had similar sense of humour. Curse had grown up learning that trusting others was a weakness, oh she knew it wasn’t case now but it was hard to change.
However she didtrust him.
She listened to him, more relaxed, like she had been before the start of their conversation now she knew he wasn’t asking her to leave, a few times her eyes slid away awkwardly, not use to compliments but they soon came back to him.
It’s ok, I’m not use to staying in one place or even with the same herd, so I guess I just thought… she trailed off, not really knowing how to continue what she was saying. She had just jumped to the easiest conclusion, the one that was most familiar to her. She should have trusted him though, but it was a knee jerk reaction.
She fidgeted a little, feelings weren’t something she was great with I don’t want to leave and I’m sorry that was the first place my mind went to, you took me in because Asmodeus had disappeared from the shore, when you were talking about him being back I thought you wanted me to leave and go back there she grimaced slightly I should have trusted you, for that that I’m sorry.
