This was always the likely ending.
A small group decided they were going to turn a work policy into a grand religious freedom and conspiracy case, and they knew the risk when they did it. They made their choice, stood on it, and got fired for it. I admire their conviction, not something I was going to gamble on. But who cares about my personal opinion.
I feel bad for anyone losing their job, but not everyone who loses a gamble is a victim. Most members did what they had to do, reported what they had to report, got vaccinated or complied with the rules, got exemptions and moved on with life. The world did not stop. The Department did not collapse. Most people did not care nearly as much as the loudest people thought they did.
So yes, if L2 got people back or not, whatever. But the endless crying from the mandate crowd was never some great labor movement. It was a small group betting their careers on a bad hand and acting shocked when the house did not fold. Replies:
