Being a mother was a wonderful thing. She wasn't sure just how many children she wanted to have, or could handle, but right now she was perfectly content with their son. Raiju was perfect. Perfect to carry on her family's lineage and she could see him doing great things one day. She wonders if he would become like the grandfather she heard stories about. Kind, gentle, and loving.
Or would he be among the greats of the legends like Rougaru? Having her own son become a legend sounded great, but she wasn't sure she wanted Raiju anything like Rougaru. Or Annubis who used to creep her mother out. With a father like Ashitaka she could only assume he would be more like Akela.
As the pony mare relaxes in an open field she watches her son not too far away. He was so big now having been born over a year ago now. She just couldn't believe how fast time has flown by. A gentle fall breeze lifts her mane as she lays sitting up in the grass. Tinuvel was cooling off from the summer's heat which meant another winter would be on its way.
