The players going on strike were not the sole cause of the decline of jai alai but they did have a hand in it. Jeff "Laca" Conway mentioned some very valid reasons which are all true. The decline was going to happen, strike or not. The strike just made it happen sooner. This has been re-hashed on this board many times throughout the years.
