Sit pretty for me (Cambion) Posted on July 31, 2026 at 02:12:16 PM by Heretic
The breeze that tumbled over the Meadow was no longer heavy with autumn and everything the season brought. There were traces of pheromones in the air, but snowflakes outmeasured them, and the crisp chill that rushed in from the ocean helped to still their effects. There was never a clear, easy line between one season and the next, much less between autumn and winter; but if there was, Heretic thought it was hours away at most, and he was sick of waiting. It would probably be fine.
The spotted stallion had never tried his self-control before. His outbursts and impulses had been easier to simply squirrel away for a couple of months, rather than risk a public ruination of his adoptive father's carefully manicured image by having Heretic roll the dice before he was ready. It was for his own good, and he never resented his father for the restriction, but he was not immune to cabin fever.
The chilly Crossing air went a long way to cooling Heretic's blood. He lounged around the Meadow, growing lazy and unguarded with each snowflake that stung his thin, smooth summer coat, bleeding sparks of cold straight to his skin. His salt-and-pepper tail swung carelessly, and he grazed with blissful ignorance. Replies: There have been no replies.
