Ceyx
And broken sentences.
He had messed up. Majorly.
That feeling coursed through Ceyx’s gut. It caused the feeling of pile rising in his throat. The burn caused the most issues, considering he couldn't actually throw up. The young stallion was trying… but it wasn't enough. It took a while of him hiding in the Bay to get the guts to step forward, to talk to Tefnut. He had been nervous the whole time, but he got what he needed in the end.
Ceyx knew now though, that it was too late. He had returned, once, to see if he could find Sathona. However, her scent was cold when he arrived. He had been too slow, too cowardly. It was horrid on his fraying mind, but he persevered. That was why, on this day, his hooves stopped and his throat constricted. The scent of the commons was strong around him, but so was hers. He could see her now, after tracking her this far. He was so close… but fear bit at him with a vengeance.
“Sathona.” His voice broke as his heart jackhammered in his chest. He failed on so many levels. Yet, the pale first child of Lucifer wasn't going to back down from something he could almost grasp. With her name on the wind, he stepped forward. He made his movements loud, steady. He wanted her to know he had come, even if it was too late. “Please…. I'm sorry.” His voice turned into a rasp as he looked at her. Close enough now, the stallion stopped moving and lowered his head, his forelock covering his face. “Please forgive me.”
