As told at the kitchen table. E124 pulled up on the scene and were sizing up. Two off duty members in the neighborhood working a side job, Removed a line from E124 and lead out through a gangway parallel to the fire building. One member entered the side/rear enclosed porch to get a "knock" on the fire while a member of E124 assisted straightening out the line. The off duty member then exited the enclosed porch area and preceded to the vented window and subsequently "knocked" the remaining fire in bedroom. It appeared to be a "one room" fire.
