VALE ERIC 'LOUIE' LUNDBERG, O211764, PILOT .... IP: 124.176.23.247 Posted on 2/10/2026 at 04:05:34 PM by Lance Haslewood
VALE ERIC LOUIE LUNDBERG ....
I was advised today of the passing of Eric Ernst Lundberg, known to many as 'Louie', who passed away on 23 August 2026.
Eric had an impressive flying career, having flown the Hercules (E and H), Caribou, Dakota, Viscount, Convair, Macchi, Vampire and Winjeel. Following his retirement from the RAAF, he continued his passion for aviation, flying the Robin 2160 at the Sydney Aerobatic School, where he was highly regarded for his instructing techniques.
Eric will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Sadly, Erics wife, Robyne, passed away yesterday, 1 October 2026, following a short illness.
At their request, neither Eric nor Robyne had a funeral service.
Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this very sad time.
RIP Eric and Robyne. Sadly missed, but never forgotten.
