By way of and update, gee what a shocker. Over the weekend Garcia beats Laduche in a head-to-head matchup and knocks him out of the "Champ. Pays Basque" tournament so as to advance. This despite the facts that Laduche/Etcheto admirably played the absolute best jai alai that they are capable of playing, and that Garcia's playing partner Basque had a pretty mediocre day by his normal standards.

Query how many times in a row does Garcia need to beat players like Laduche and Olharan before the Basque country recognizes him as the better player and shows him the respect that he is due?

Needless to say, Laduche/Etcheto would have crushed any team featuring Goixerri in this one.
