Thank you Jailife16!
Spoilers:
1st Set: Goixerri started well with a locked-in serve. But then after his first pasa, his serve became weak and easily pickable. Leke jammed up Erkiaga a couple of times while Goixerri's interceptions, short-inside placements and 2-walls were on.
2nd Set: Goixerri's serve started strong again but was getting picked way too often after that. Both Leke and Goixerri played some crafty Jai-Alai- placing the ball just right and stopping most of Erkiaga's offense. Both Leke and Salegi had some amazing defense but Salegi missed a few balls that were critical. Erkiaga made an offensive charge towards the end but it was not enough. Congrats Leke and Goixerri. Goixerri -work on that serve some more!
1st Set: This game seemed faster paced than the 1st one, with shots firing from Alex and Urreisti. But then Oyhenard started making mistakes, putting his team well behind. Meanwhile, Atain stayed solid- which he has not always done in the past. Alex's serve became pickable and Urresti punished him for it. Perhaps disheartened, Alex threw the ball off the court 3 times and the set was over.
2nd Set: Alex came out firing, possibly mad about the 1st set. Atain got caught under the bridge twice. Alex and Oyhenard made some mistakes and let the other side back in it. Urresti stepped up the offense a bit but Alex responded. Mistakes were made, but more were made by Atain and Urresti and that was the difference.
Tie-Break: Alex juggle. 1-0. Oyhenard miss in the back. 2-0. Alex kill shot carom. 2-1. Urreisti slip in the front. 2-2. Oyhenard threw it too high. 3-2. Urreisti miss overhead. 3-3. Urreisti's pica caught Oyhenard. 4-3. Urreisti 2-wall. 5-3. Congrats Urreisti and Atain. Work on your serve Alex! Replies: There have been no replies.
