The right answer on the trans/sports thing is it should be left to the individual governing body. These are extremely rare one off cases. To the extent being part of a team gives a trans kid a sense of belonging and helps keep them from harming him/herself - that’s the whole damn reason for youth sports. Alternatively if you are too good or too big that you actually tip the competitive scale or make it unsafe for others - well then you’re out.
