During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Silence felt old. It was the pup, bringing back memories of his own time as one. Memories dragged up from across time, reminding him that so much had gone on. So many new wolves, pups, adults, pups of the new adults. They came and they took over, and Silence felt old. He did not want a pup to stay here, knowing that he could leave and bring back others or take Hope with him.

He had left with a sour twist in his stomach, his entire body emphasizing the feeling. His pace picked up as he reached the border, flowing into a light run. His tail was just a little higher than his back, near bristling with the anger that crackled in his eyes. They could be described as a Mayan blue, showing mostly an impatient air that tinged with anger at all times. It was Silence at his best, cold, stiff, experienced. He headed towards the prey plateau, breaking off instead to the north than the south. While he would've loved to hunt in a place that prey were drawn to, it also drew in other wolves. At the moment, Silence was in no mood to interact with others. If any did happen to catch sight of the white male, sifting through the trees, one look at his eyes would convince them to turn elsewhere for conversation.

Towards the mountain and higher terrain of the cliffs, Silence found what he was looking for. A small herd of sheep, grazing and looking like a rather easy target. It did not take long for him to stir up confusion and take a sheep down, barely out of lamb hood. It was enough to get his heart pumping, the angry snarling snap that took the life from the animal spent most of his anger. He was pleased with the catch, able to carry it in his mouth if he held his head high enough. Of course, it was tiring work and there were points he dragged it or let it drop for a rest. The journey back wasted the rest of his pent up annoyance, bringing a calm air back to his being.

He was closer to Atra than he would've liked before he realized that she was there. The scent trickled through the deep mask of the blood and scent of his prey, causing him to stop and consider his next actions. For some reason it seemed familiar; had it not been, he would've continued on without really bothering it. The sheep dropped to the ground, staring out with lifeless eyes while Silence considered what to do. Hope and the pup could wait he supposed, as he was curious to see this wolf. Not many came near the pack anymore, though he had caught the scent of a wolf wandering through the territory earlier. The thought of that alone bunched his muzzle and revealed his teeth. Wolves these days.

The white male grabbed the sheep again and half carried, half dragged it towards the scent of the female. Once he could see her, he dropped the animal once more and stepped between her and it. His teeth bared slightly again as he looked at her, as if to say 'this is my kill, not yours.' Once she understood that point, he tilted his muzzle slightly and looked down on her. The black female, lying down while Hope considered helping her. Yes, he remembered now. His eyes narrowed minimally, revealing his faint suspicion that she should come back. What did she want now? Blackmail of some sorts? Well, good luck with that. He doubted she was the kind for it though, so he was left with the same question.

"You...again."

It was an odd sort of acknowledgment. Said rather dryly, and, accompanied by his high tail and tall stance implied he would take no crap from her. Two words, and yet he felt he conveyed everything. 'You,' much like saying 'hello' but not as friendly. Merely his own way of acknowledging her presence without being open and welcoming. 'Again,' a faint question hovering over the word. 'What brings you back' or 'why are you here' mushed down into one word. Again. Yes, he remembered her and he wasn't particularly glad to see her, yet he was not threatening...for once. If anything, it felt like some sort of way to get back at his sister for approaching the pup. He would find out what this female wanted, and would do so with kindness.

As long as she didn't try to take his kill that is. That was for Hope and the pup and a bit for him as well.
