The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

THE YOUNG WOLF ran through the terra in a panicked state. His mismatched eyes, one blue and the other brown, tried desperately to pull something out of the darkness. And not just any something, at least one of two somethings that he was searching for. His adoptive parents. They had let him go to explore the terra, and when he came back to the small clearing the next night for bed, as they all usually did, no one was there. Well, Zanzibar was a patient pup … patient well beyond his age, and he waited for two more nights … still not a sight nor scent of Eclipse or Nephthys. Now still, he was not one to normally panic, but when on this night, a strange cat like animal began prowling around, that sent the young male off.

AS HE STORMED through one of the paths … one of the many, many paths that wound through the terra … he almost tripped over his oversized feet. But after the stumble, his white paws kept moving. But, as a pup, his energy did eventually burn off, and he finally had to slow to a halt. For a minute or so, he simply stood there, his legs shaking a bit. He had sprint over half the terra, and that was a lot of ground to cover for one so young. Finally, after trying to remain standing, his knees gave out, and he fell to a heap on the ground.

HIS BODY WAS limp, though he was able to at least lift his head up. He was panting heavily, and his large, oversized ears drooped more than usual. If Zanzibar had been the average pup, he would have been calling out for help. Calling out for his mother or father to come, and help him. But he was not … he had the disorder. Nothing really big, like a mental type of thing. Actually he was rather inquisitive for one his age. No, it was a social disorder, and it caused him to not talk to others. The only he had spoken to in the land was Eclipse, and now he could not find him. But basically, he got a horrid case of the spotlight feeling whenever he tried speaking to someone, and even to those he could manage to talk to, he stuttered.

SO HE JUST lay there, exhausted, and panting to try and catch his breath. His nose began twitching to try and see if any water was near … though it seemed very much a lost cause. He tried pushing himself up, though only rose an inch or so before his legs gave out once more. He whimpered a bit, though over all, he figured it was a lost cause. His chin came down and lay between his paws, though he was still panting quite heavy. His mismatched eyes flickered to meet any sound … oh no, he had not forgotten about the large cat like creature he had seen. More than anything, the young male wished to see Eclipse or Nephthys come and save him from the night. Though he knew he would be ok after resting, and be able to eventually get up and get himself water, he would feel much better with one of his adoptive parents.

THAT WAS WHEN it struck him. What if they left him? His other parents, his true parents, had dropped him off somewhere, but what if Eclipse and Nephthys did just the opposite? What if they left because they did not want him anymore? Zanzibar whimpered a few times more as he tried once more to lift himself up onto his large paws. And this time the young male got further, though when he tried to straighten his knees, his legs shook and then he fell once more. With a heavy sigh, he gave up again, and place his chin back on the ground between his paws.
