During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

A smile scarred ashen velvets as the other virile acknowledged him and spoke. Kalgalath. A very unusual name, but original. Kong felt his pate dip in respect. He had noticed the hunter drop his crown and banner to the level of Omega, same as himself. So no one had gotten promotions yet. Fair. But of course, he expected nothing less from the girl dubbed Paranoia. She seemed a very fair type. The one to investigate further into one's history and personality before giving out higher ranks. Trouble lay in Kong's past, so he hoped slightly that she wouldn't delve deep on him.

He wasn't proud of his past, nor planning on repeating it. It had been filled with lust and torture, hell his only home. Kong had been a tortured soul once, full of hate and greed, wanting nothing but to hear the yelps of pain as one by one, the titan's legs were broken. Or should he say shattered? Luminaries looked away from the brutale, dipping muzzle down and to the left slightly so that Kalgalath wouldn't see the flashes of pain in his eyes. Not a very promising sight, to say the least. But Kong had gotten quite well at hiding his past. He looked past it, and hoped others would do the same. He had changed, at least that's what he continued to tell himself.

Hoping the gladiator hadn't taken offense at his turning away, Kong lifted his mug back to eye level with the beast, the smile back pasted on his features as he spoke. A pleasure, Kalgalath. How are you liking your stay at Munashii Gekko so far? I find it to be quite..peaceful myself. Like a land full of promise. Who approached you at the border? It was the maiden Paranoia for myself. Sorry if my questions offend you. Merely curiosity. The smile widened apologetically while twin pools brightened with genuine curiosity. His nares told him that Paranoia had not come into contact with this stag, after all. The only aroma that permeated from his pelt would have to be that of the other alpha, Angel.

Kong had yet to come in contact with that one, and the curiosity fed him to learn more of the brother of Paranoia, maybe grab some pointers for how to talk to him if they happened to meet. The lovely alphess had warned him that Angel was not fond of other males, after all. He didn't want trouble with her blood, not after such a nice chat with her. He wouldn't want to ruin their friendship. Even though they'd only just met and had a few lyrics of talk, he felt somewhat close to her. Not romantic wise, mind you. Merely friendly. And he knew that's what she wanted for all of her members. Something she would surely gain if she spoke so freely with her other arrivals. Kong had no doubt that Paranoia would gain undaunting loyalty from her pack.

Looking now upon the brute dubbed Kalgaloth, Kong pulled himself from his thoughts to await politely the bronc's reply. Auditories tipped forward, he moved his weight back upon his flanks, setting them gently upon the terra firma, tassel curling itself around his hindquarters like a wind's caress. Kong was a massive figure, even sitting down. He was built like a tank, with a wide chest, muscular shoulders that bulged no matter how he moved, a large handsome head, chiseled like a statue. His jaws were formidable and wide like a bulldog's, and they had seen much blood and death. HIs eyes were golden and innocent, a betrayal of what lay behind them. A past of evil, something shame and pain was left to carry around in his mind and heart for the rest of his seasons.
