During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Kong felt something stir in the air and twisted his handsome pate toward the two lone figures that stood apart from the rest of the group. Not really in physical space so much as mental. The alphas. Paranoia seemed a little fidgety, like she was getting impatient. A smirk of amusement pulled at the brujo's scars. It seemed a little puppyish, but he liked it. It made her normal, after all. It was always good for an alpha to show some normality, at least sometimes. Handles swerved to tip toward the two, one toward the femoral, the other toward her more mysterious counterpart. He could not forget Angel, even as he already saw him. There was just something - thought Kong would be damned if he could pinpoint it - about him that just seemed...off. It was the only way he could describe it to himself. It was like a cord pulled so tight you expected it to tear at any moment but instead it held fast, making you want to take a microscope to make sure it wasn't fraying just where you couldn't see it with the naked eye.

Luminaries narrowed a bit in curiosity, but then Paranoia was letting her silky lyrics float and he had to turn his full attention on her. His facades registered a little surprise, poorly hid when she spoke but two sentences and let her tune falter. He had expected more from her, he always would. But then Angel stepped forth as if to speak and he felt his body tense subconsciously. Nothing aggressive aimed at the baron, of course, just a helpless reaction to that feeling Kong got from him. Again, he couldn't describe it, so instead he tipped both harks toward the mascu to hear him speak. Mental facilities nodded in agreement as the porcelain captor spoke, hearing nothing but what he expected and already knew. Omega would be his ranking and he didn't mind at all. It would be a large change from his former position but he had wanted the change and welcomed it with a wagging plume to boot.

He also caught the way Angel's features did not seem to move at all, like he was indifferent. He chose not to show any signs of being uncomfortable of the observation, but nontheless, he noted it. Then Paranoia stepped in, almost like her sibling was the drowning victim and she his life raft. Nares twitched slightly at the gesture but again, he tried not to show anything too obvious as to how alert he was in this meeting. Sometimes it was best to be a silent observer, especially when you thought you were seeing things that maybe others would not want you to see. The lovely damsel slowed her speech again, but this time her tabiris scanned over the group in expectation. It must be question time. Kong found his own embers roving over the other members, but he saw no auds placed back in uncertainty or lanturns turned down timidly. Good sign. At least that was his opinion.

Listeners turned to Paranoia again as she moved as if to speak again, but this time she was cut off by Angel. A lone lappet flicked back then back forward, the only sign he'd noticed that as well. The poker face stayed steadily in place on his pallet yet inside, he was more than ready to crack another smile of humor as the alpha seemed to stumble a little over the words to say. The thought that this swain must be newer to speaking in front of crowds than he put himself out to be crossed the ashen virile's thoughts but he kept it to himself. There was a sly emphasis on his "past", almost like a shy whisper of things he should be ashamed of but wasn't. Kong sniffed softly. Maybe he wasn't the only one which the darkness shadowed after all, not that he'd felt special in thinking he was or anything. He'd just had yet to meet another who tried to balance the two sides out. Yet sometimes even the strong fail miserably...

The glaze in his globes as he daydreamed of days past was just starting to crowd his vision before it was abruptly pushed away by an airy giggle, something the caesar honestly had not heard in quite some time. He found the source fast enough. Paranoia? He had simply not expected such a reaction from the nymph. That'd teach him to be more observant next time. When she spoke her intro, he pricked his harks again to listen. Short and sweet. Plumage lifted from the ground, wagging slightly in approval. He wouldn't know if she'd notice the small friendly gesture or not, for he had already noticed the small movement beside him and turned to give his attention to none other than the stag he had only just started to aquaint himself with, Kalgalath. The hunter lifted himself from the earth and stepped forward to speak. Kong couldn't help but feel like it was kindergarten and it was introduction time. Where's the circle when you need it?

Orbitals sparked a bit with his self humor, the only sign he was thinking of anything other than what the czar was saying. He found his crown nodding as Kalgalath finished and stepped back, apparently his dismissal of himself. Short and sweet? Kong could do this. He just wouldn't be taking his friend's as a role model. Why not? Well, it was a perfectly good introduction for him, but the past would simply have to stay the past with Kong. He wasn't digging that grave site out just yet. And not here, not with these wolves. It would have to wait. Scanning, he noticed no one was volunteering to go next. A soft sigh of reluctance left his mug. Guess he'd have to be the next brave one. Lifting his brainpan a little, he cleared his throat a little, just a sign that he was ready to speak. He didn't know of any rules saying he would have to get up and step forward to speak, so he decided to stay right where he was. Bowing his graceful dial as a short greeting, he felt his vocal cords pull as his deep voice rang out.

I am called King Kong, or Kong. I look forward to meeting each of my pack members and serving my two alphas with all the loyalty they deserve. I am proud to be a member of Munashii Gekko. Letting his vocals finish their dance, he tilted his auditories away from the center of the meeting, meaning his introduction was over. On to the next victim..eh hm...wolf. Canary ooids seemed to flicker to the alphess for a small moment, as if to see a sign of approval that his greeting was good enough. He already looked to her for answers. A flicker followed to her moon washed brother, if anything to gauge a reaction from the brute. He had been warned that the boy didn't like other males, after all. Better to see now his chances of getting past the vampire unscathed if he came upon him alone one day. Would he fit the grade of Angel's standards. He knew he might not get even a clue of that now, especially in the hunter's absent mood, but he was willing to glance, if just for a chance.
