Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Chromium was alone for once. The dragon usually spent time learning with his mother or their mistress. However, with his lady meeting with some wolf-dog, he had a moment to slip away. He had flown to Misty Island with his mother, following their mistress as she travelled on land. After the wolf had found this Knives character, the mixed youth took the opportunity to get away. He wasn't nearly full grown, but easily the size of an adult feline, perhaps lion or tiger, at his 4 months.

Chromium looked like he was meant to be part of a mountainside. Ice Mountain was the home he knew with his mother and mistress, so it just suited him naturally, even if he didn't try. His scales were a natural silver-grey with a metallic sheen. By looks, his mix was uncertain, though the metal and smokey grey were most obvious in his color. His spikes matched his scales, but gave no way to the blue back or red back in him. Only his piercing yellow eyes revealed the black wild, to include his more than fierce attitude at times. He was, as his mother said, the perfect defense.

That's what he was being taught. Chromium was not learning to be an aerial assassin like his mother Nephthys, but rather an aerial hunter to keep watch over the assassins on their missions should their presence be compromised. He was good at it. Aerial stealth, blending with the natural occuring appearance of the mountain side, and strength to boot.

Today, he was at a higher ledge, lying comfortably and enjoying what he saw over the landscape. Until something caught his attention that didn't fit. Purple... That was an unexpected color at such a size jumping off the mountain and flying. His yellow eyes watched her as she passed, knowing she hadn't seen him. No one did up here unless they were looking.

Chromium turned his head back to the horizon, spreading his own leathery wings. He jumped and skimmed down along the side of the peak before circling a wider portion and flying back upwards. His wings but a whisper with the natural higher winds at this elevation. Chromium landed on all fours. He was a bit bigger than the feline, and by enough to where it was a clear advantage.

"You ought to quit standing like that before the real queen of this mountain returns," he said with a smirk. He wasn't in any mood to cause trouble. Who knew, this tiger might be interesting, and if his mistress returned soon, maybe the tiger might be of interest to her as well.
