The blind brute shivered as he picked up his kill. He was hunting for his mate. They had two pups by what Serenity had told him. He knew that one of them would be blind, because he was. When he walked into the den he heard that the fire was still lit and that at least one of the puppies wasn't complaining. "Hello love." he said putting his kill on the floor next to the Ethiopian wolfess. The deer had been very tricky for the blind wolf to catch as it seemed to know that he was blind, so it ran in hollows and dips in the forest floor. The brute let his grey haunches drop into a sitting position about a foot away from Serenity.

Thrysta lay dreaming next to her mother, her tri-colored coat puffed against the cold.Her black paws made her look like she was wearing socks. Her light brown body with a white underbelly and tail tip rolled over. The pup heard her father come in the cave and drop something, so of course she woke up opened her eyes for the first time and walked up to it.
