Apiyo and Nakato both nodded. They understood prides started small sometimes. Perhaps the region was far vaster than the twin sisters had thought. That would easily account for difficult in building a pride if many were isolated and hard to find. Nakato was more hesitant than her sister as they listened and nodded slightly.

However, a questioning look crossed both rustic red lionesses' faces. Underweight? Apiyo was aware hunting could be difficult at times, but surely no male she ever knew of would be underweight even when pickings were slim. Nakato shared these same thoughts, for the sisters thought alike often.

They were used to males willing to hunt with the pride, rather than someone hunting for them as some of their cousins did in other regions. Finally Apiyo spoke, "We should like to meet him before making any decisions." Nakato nodded as she picked up where her sister left off, "It isn't that we doubt you; we would just feel more comfortable seeing for ourselves before committing to a new pride."

Both sisters offered a smile. Yes, at least meet him and see. Perhaps they would join, but it wasn't certain just yet.
