During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Insanity is a timorous condition to cope with, most suffer their entire lives.
I don't suffer, see my smile?
----------------------------------

Melodic. That’s what the she-wolf decided Kong’s voice was like to her. A gentle melody that seemed to hold her captivated, imprisoned within its grasp. She really didn’t mind the way her body seemed rooted to the spot, her muscles refusing to move her body in the slightest. Her mind wasn’t about to let her go anywhere, not that she even wanted to. The more he spoke, the more intense Miya felt about knowing him. The intensity with which she felt this was intimidating to her. Throughout her life, she’d always been a constant loner, never quite settling down long enough to befriend someone. Before this, she realized she hadn’t spoken to another being in months, perhaps even a year. And the fact that she had stumbled across this male, who so held her. . Well, Miya wasn’t one to believe in fate, but if ever there was one, then it sure was favouring her now.

After she had averted her eyes from his, and her mind had suddenly hit this revelation, she allowed her silver gaze to roam back up to his golden one. She decided right then and there that she would do everything possible within her power to keep this male in her sight. It wasn’t just the way that his gaze seemed to hold her in place that made her decide this; it was his overall posture and the way he held himself. It forced her curiosity to scorch her own mind, threatening to force her voice out from within her muzzle. She continued to lightly hold her tongue, not wishing to suddenly babble and ramble on and on. Once more, she noted the way she was so concerned about what he thought of her. She wasn’t quite sure if this was normal upon meeting someone for the first time, but she didn’t fret. New experiences are what make life interesting, yes?

As Kong spoke slightly of his past, at least when it came to Munashii Gekko, it caused her audits to swivel forward lightly, her interest peaking. Everything the male said interested her, held her captivated. She had been fretting over this before, but now she was simply intoxicated by his voice. Her gaze grew slightly hazy from this, before what he was saying slowly sunk in. ‘The power of blood and destruction’ Kong had said. ‘Vampire wolves.’ A slight pang within her chest signified her change of mind. She wasn’t going to spitefully judge these creatures, but she couldn’t help the slight curling of her upper lip. It wasn’t so much the fact of the creatures themselves that brought the grimace to her muzzle, but more so it was a deeper reasoning.

For Miya herself waged a constant battle with her own Beast; her own Dark Passenger. Though now that she knew how Kong felt towards these different wolves, she knew she could never allow him to learn about that side of her. She knew she must conceal it at all costs, which made eye contact with him all the much harder. She was curious to if he noticed the accent in her liquid silver gaze; a thick band of burnt sienna that surrounded her charcoal pupil. It caused the silver of her irises to reflect luminescence, as the rest of her gaze held the intensity within it. She wouldn’t allow herself to avert her gaze again, though she desperately wanted to. There was no panic in her mind’s eye at this, but there was a gleam of excitement that seemed to shimmer behind her gaze, causing the luminescence to shine even brighter. The female parted her jaw slightly, before she spoke again to him.

I.. don’t quite like the sound of this Alpha of theirs, Eric.. though I am not one to pass judgment upon others. The numerous times it has happened to me, well.. let’s just say I know exactly how such treatment feels. And it is not something I permit, nor encourage. Though I cannot say I approve of their.. beliefs.

The she-wolfs speech was laced with slight pauses, as she chose her words delicately and carefully. She felt she couldn’t in fact say anything about this other pack, if that was how they truly were. For she herself had her own daemons, and fought a constant battle for victory within her own fractured mind. And yet all while she had spoken, she had not once allowed her gaze to roam away from his. She wasn’t going to let him out of her sight, and this meant keeping her gaze locked on his own. She didn’t want to look away besides; she was allowing her mind to relish in the sight of him. For a reason she couldn’t quite comprehend, she was drawn to him. She wanted to observe every curve and feature of his fourm, learn just how Kong worked. The thought of her caring so much about what another being thought of her, caused her upper lip to curl up again; but this time it was out of amusement. Her silver gaze gleamed once more, not in disgust but with a pleasure she hadn’t quite felt in a long while. Her muzzle inclined downwards as a gentle chuckle began within her chest, causing her entire fourm to tremble. Miya never broke eye contact with Kong, keeping him within her sight the whole while.
