During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

She didn't need to wait too terribly long for the first wolf to approach, and her single brightly colored eye cast its narrowed gaze on the black and white bitch that approached with such a sweet disposition. She gave a dismissing snort, not offering a name nor expression to her. She could smell a pair on the borders, but they were not of her concern. If they would not come to her she would not do them any such favors, herself. Her attention wandered from the girl who introduced herself as Devil's Angel to let her gaze wander the horizon, something in her bones alerting her to the advancing presence of a second wolf. And... aah, there he was. A raggedy black dog with a wound on his leg. She could smell that bitter tang from so far away, if she was a lesser wolf she would have gone for him as prey. But now she only glared down at him, an expression that did not lighten when the wolf made no attempt to humble himself before her. Devil's Angel, at the very least, was here before herself. She would take her demure attitude as a submission. But this wolf before her was lower than the dirt on which he stood. Chops curled up to reveal black gums and strikingly sharp teeth, filed into their needle point. A low growl sounded in her throat, not even sparing words on the mutt. Her tail rose in a proud flag over her back, her chest puffed up and her hackles rose high on her back.

The girl was bitter, spiteful. And without her fight to let off steam, such a display of ignorance was not to be tolerated. The dog was scarred, but this meant nothing to her. So was she. The male was also with a fresh injury. That was a sign of true weakness, moreso than old scars. Red would not be so quickly disrespected in her new position, she would not let her first impression on this lowly bitch before her be one of weakness and gullibility. Her tail gave a quick lash to the left and she rose her head, turning it a bit to get a better view of Riku out of her single eye.

That bastard even had the audacity to look her in the eye. She stubbornly held his gaze, not even blinking as she looked down at him. Let the mutt grovel.
