The mottled black, grey and white brute was in a dangerous mood. The little rat he was tracing had tried to double cross him, looping round then swimming downriver. It was clear the trick he'd used, but where had he left the river, and on which bank? Craven was furious. He'd assumed the young brute was secure enough here that he wouldn't be taking these kind of precautions, but apparently he wasn't quite that stupid as to beleive he'd gotten away scot free. Evidently, he knew that the Order of the Dark Gods would not let a sacrifice escape so easily.

The large, powerfully built brute snarled to himself as he struggled to pick up the scent, his ears flattened to his head, his broad, scarred muzzle lowered to the ground. The crosshatched scars over his legs and maw showed him to be a High Priest, and the fresh cuts over one amber eye were red and painful looking.

With a snarl of frustation, the brute leaped to his hind legs and, with a twist of his powerful jaws, splintered a branch from a nearby tree. He landed with a thump, eyes blazing, and stood rigid with anger for a moment before taking a deep breath and returning to the riverbank, questing through the grass in search of the scent, eyes narrowed to slits of concentration.

(For Void, Hect, and LZ. Any of above XD )
