Traydon River

This river is famously known for its fish!

Tenebrae glanced at Brom with narrowed eyes, vaguely suspicious he was mocking her- one thing she had inherited through her family was a fiery sense of pride. She would normally just have slunk off, but something held her rooted to place- who did this skinny brute remind her of? Miyuki, that was it.

Well, what was endearing in a cub she loved was frankly irritating in an adult stranger. Here she was, just having an existinental crisis, and the world couldn't even let her be depressed in peace. It had to send her a weird brute to disrupt her wandering. The fact that he was willingly- WILLINGLY- swimming was enough to convince her he was a maniac. Who in their right mind would do so much as get their paws wet? Tenebrae had gained the scar beneath her left eye fishing Miyuki out of the river, nearly drowning in the process.

At the time, of course, she had been blind. Which brought her back to the crux of the matter. Or would, if she didn't have to deal with this brute.

This was why Tenebrae didn't like people in general. They were overrated.

She gave him her best scowl. "D'you want me to show you just how grumpy?" she growled. This wasn't even her being really unfriendly. Brom reminded her too much of Miyuki for her to really let rip and snarl at him.

"Leave me alone." she glared at him, then padded past him, her shoulderblades jagged at her back, her grey and white fur, as usual spiked in all directions. She was still getting used to seeing her grey paws flickering at the edge of her vision whenever she took a step, and stumbled on her way past him.

This did little to improve her temper. If wolves could flush, she would have been bright red as she righted herself and stalked up the riverbank, her green eyes firmly refusing to glance back and see if the strange brute was laughing at her.

Then again, she probably wasn't really one to go judging people as strange, she thought bitterly, her sharp ears flattened against her skull. After all, she couldn't even fix herself, never mind other people.
