The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

PhotobucketSeline gave the occasional glance across her shoulder to see if Tjikiju would come along with her invitation or not; and to her pleasure the female seemed to be joining her. While she wanted to bolt; sprint to her son, the lady kept a rather composed and calm facial expression as well as air about her. She wasn’t quite sure how to reprimand her son for directly disobeying her orders- she had told the boy to stay where he was, in the shadows and merely observe until the fighting was over. But of course the little demon had to go tromp off on his own, getting into who knows how much trouble. The main thing was the Mother inside Seline not wanting Qui to be hurt in any manner, as he was still but a young pup. He had much growing up to do, as well as learning, until he was at the same level as his Grandfather and Mother.

The Alpha had noted the dual colourations of the older females’ irises just behind her, one gold and one silver, and had deduced silently that the silver eye was in fact useless to the female. And so she had kept the pace easy and smooth as she picked her way through the forest in a bee line to the border her son has just found his way to. It was around that moment that a sudden howl rang out from the territory just before the two females, and the affect it had on Seline was immediate. Launching herself into a sprint, she soon broke the cover of the thick forest, the mist that still lingered from earlier in the morning dampening her bright pelt with miniscule beads of moisture. Briefly shaking her jaw from side to side once, the Queen blinked her emerald irises once, twice, before focusing her gaze on her son.

If it was even remotely possible in the last few weeks since they had parted, it seemed that Quirino had grown to Seline; that his frame was larger, his muscles thicker, and even his face had changed. Then again it could simply be the Mother’s worry the lady still felt vaguely fluttering within her breast. And then she remembered why she felt that, because he had disobeyed and wandered off on his own. There had been a brief expression of delighted joy across her scarred muzzle, the alabaster and crimson lady was soon enough calming herself and smoothing out her features; allowing a blank façade to lay rest against her facial. Cocking her head lightly to the left, she was soon padding around to the opposite side of Qui, making sure to make her intent staring of his entire frame quite obvious. Bright crystalline green irises were focused on him, never pausing to observe anywhere for too long; and before the little tyke most likely knew what happened, the Queen was upon him.

Dashing in with grace and stealth only gained from years of training, even on a bad shoulder Seline was beside Qui in a flash. With equal speed and agility, her jaws shot out to shut around the boys scruff, closing her muzzle around his flesh to press her serrated canines tenderly against his fur and skin. Growling quietly, she gave her son two messages in this embrace; one, that she loved him dearly, and would protect him from any harm that ever came to him. And two, that if he ever disobeyed her orders again, her next love bite wouldn’t be so soft and careful. After the message was sure to read through loud and clear, the lady found herself pulling away, only to instantly return her touch with a brush of the tip of her dark nose, against the side of his neck. In the same moment she allowed her elongate pink tongue muscle to slither between her jaws and wash languidly across his bright crimson fur, down to the small tuft of white he wore on his chest.

Though he may have felt a bit too old to be caressed and washed the way Seline was doing now, she knew he would endure because it was his Mother doing it; and if he knew what was good for him he would begin listening to her. With a light smile then caressing her features, the Queen allowed her bright gaze to soften as she continued gazing down upon her son, before speaking quietly to him, for his ears only. “Welcome home little prince. You should not have gone off on your own the way you did, but I’m glad you’re home now. Welcome to the new Satanican lands.” As her last sentence slipped past her dark lips, Seline raised her muzzle to gesture to the vast forest that surrounded the pair, before she then remembered her hopefully-still-following companion, Tjikiju. Turning her gaze where the older girl would hopefully show up, the Mother once again bent to her son to whisper quietly to him, giving him a heads up about the other wolf.

Love, one of the new members of the family has hopefully come along with me, she should be just behind me..” the Alpha trailed off quietly as she kept her intense gaze watching the place she knew Tjikiju should be coming from, her still wounded shoulder throbbing absently, though she did not take note of it.
